The Marriage Announcement

This was the announcement that mom sent out after we got home and told Flint, Joe, and Tia, my two-legged brother's and sister, about the marriage--they were thrilled that mom and Hall had gotten married as they LOVE Hall very much!

  The Announcement

Hi guys,

Hope the New Year, New Millennium finds everyone in wonderful health and sprits!!! We have had a wonderful start to the New Millennium!!

On December 29th we left for Vegas to see the Barbra Streisand concert. It was TOTALLY AWESOME!!! Even Hall enjoyed it and he doesn't even like Barbra. We had a great time!

After we left the concert, we went to the airport and caught the first flight out of Vegas. We headed for San Francisco where we had a cottage rented for 4 nights. It was an amazing place! The first morning, and every morning, we sat drank our coffee and diet coke, and watched the deer grazing out the window. It was wonderful. Abby and I had a great time walking on the beach every day watching the sunset. For me, the Pacific ocean is the most soothing, spirit rebuilding place there is! It can give you a whole new out look on life!!

Hall not only made my life long dream of seeing Barbra Streisand in concert come true, but he also made my life long dream of riding horses on the beach by the ocean come true. I have lived in FL all my life and grew up 5 minutes from the ocean. I have had, and ridden, horses most of my life. However, I have never ridden horses on the beach. It is not something you can do in FL. Well, while in Pt Reyes--which is the little town we stayed in just outside of San Francisco--we went on a 6 hour ride which included riding on the beach!! I finally got to ride horses on the beach by the ocean!!! While riding on the beach, we were watching, or he was watching us, the cutest sea-lion swimming in the water along with us. It was amazing. Also amazing was the shape my body was in after I got off a 6 hr ride :-\ . It has been two years since I rode. I think about another week and my poor body will have recovered!!!

After leaving the cottage--which was MOST DIFFICULT--we went down to Atascadero to visit Dee and John Holloway--some wonderful coonhound friends. We had a great time with Dee and John and their hospitality was the best!! Thank you guys for all you did for us!!

For all of you who were afraid, thought we would, and told us not too get married in Vegas I want to assure you that it DID NOT happen!!! I told you guys it would not happen!!

However, not one of you said anything about getting married in CA. On January 2nd Hall asked me to marry him. On Thursday, January 6th, with Dee and John at our sides, we went down to Morro Bay and were married in a beautiful little chapel by the sea.

I now get to call this amazing man, who has made so many of my dreams come true, my darling husband! None of us know what the future holds, but whatever happens, I know my husband will always be at my side!!

I hope all of you have had half as good a start to your new Millennium as we have!!

Lisa, Hall, and of course Abby
