Hi, this is Abby. On December 29th my mom, dad, and I left for Vegas to bring in the new Millennium.

We went to Vegas to see the Barbra Streisand concert. We had a great time and even dad liked the concert. He isn't really a Barbra fan, but he was very impressed with the whole thing. Mom, of course, thought that the concert was TOTALLY AWESOME!!! It was a dream come true for her to see Barbra live. Thank you, dad, for making mom's dream come true. She was a very happy person.
I had practiced Party 101 very hard before we went. Well, a lot of good that did me! Mom and dad brought in the New Millennium at the concert and I missed out on the midnight partying. I slept though it. Geez, the New Millennium comes in once every 1000 years, and I slept through it!
By the time mom and dad got out of the concert and back to the van--where I was--and got me out, all the
was gone. The only hint of liquor I found were bottles laying on the lawn of the MGM Grand. I tried frantically to get something out of them, but to no avail. I also tried to fraternize with the drunks walking around, but dad was having a fit and would not let mom or me visit with them. They looked harmless, but dad didn't want us around them--geez, he worries too much!
I have to admit, that if I look that stupid when I have been drinking, maybe I shouldn't do it. Some of the people should have been the poster people for the argument against drinking!
Despite the fact that I didn't get to party, we had a great time! We stayed in Echo Bay on Lake Meade. It was interesting and there were lots of bunnies and ducks there.
We also saw some wild
. Mom and I are still trying to figure out what they eat--since the landscape looks like there has been some kind of nuclear accident! Mom has decided that they have learned how to survive on ROCKS! She came home and told Chubby and Wiggie--my horses here--that if the burro's in Vegas could stay fat on rocks, they should learn to do the same thing--yea right! The guys just rolled their eyes. Mom's are so dense sometimes.
The thing I liked best about Vegas was the airport. Everyone thought I was soooo cute! When we arrived, I was a
! It took about 45 minutes to get out of the airport because everyone kept stopping us and wanting my autograph. I had to give lots of kisses--it was a tough job--while mom and dad explained about Otterhound's.
We left Vegas for San Francisco at 6:00am Jan 1st. California was absolutely wonderful! Click here to see our CA pictures and the "
