Deciding to get Married

Mom and dad were so excited. They smiled all day!

The next day, dad suggested they start working out the details of getting married. Mom thought about it, decided that a wedding would add a lot of stress to their lives, and said to dad "We should go home married." Dad, also not wanting to add more stress to life, thought this was a GREAT idea. So, the information gathering began,

Mom, being a good computer nut, always has her puter with her and this trip was no exception--Heaven forbid that she not be able to check her e-mail for a couple of days. So mom got on the net and found out what it took to get a marriage license in California. It only takes knowing your name, your address, your parents names and money to get a license. No problem.

Next was the order of finding someone to marry them. For this issue she sent the following e-mail to Dee and John Holloway, some wonderful friends we planned to visit while in California:

Hello :-)

Well, we are in CA! It is beautiful up here. Has to be what Heaven looks like.

Have a question. Do you have anything planned for Thursday? If you don't, we might --and I stress MIGHT--want to do something with you guys. If we do, we will need to find two things, a license and a Justice of the Peace. Do you think we can come up with those? I think we can get a license, but I am not sure about the Justice thing. Think we could find one down in Morro Bay?

Let me know. Love you guys.

Dee, not being quite as anal about checking her e-mail as mom, did not check her e-mail that night. Mom was a little disapointed that she didn't have an e-mail from her the next morning, but it was short lived as they went on an all day horseback ride on the beach--another one of mom's life long dreams that dad made come true.

Upon arrival back to the cottage that night, mom had several voice mail messages and a couple of e-mail messages from Dee. Dee had made some calls and said that there was a wonderful little wedding chapel in Morro Bay that was available on Thursday. "GREAT, book it!" was mom's reply. So it was set.
